When are your children's classes?

We offer classes for children birth-5th grade for all service times.

What if it is our first time attending PCC?

Please enter door 5 and visit the welcome desk inside the Children's center. There are volunteers that will help you complete a connect card, give you security tags for your children, and walk you & your children to the correct classes. Please keep your corresponding tag to pick up your children.

How do we check in our children?

In order for your children to attend any of our classes, you will need to visit one of the check-in desks located inside the Children's center.  You can enter your personal identification number (PIN).  Your PIN is the last 4 digits of your telephone number with a 1 at the end. (Ex: 839-2384- your PIN is 23841)  Your child's room assignment will be on the security/check-in tag. Place the tag on your child's shirt and take to their assigned room.

How early can I drop off my child?

Drop off begins 15 minutes prior to service time.

What if I lose my security tag?

Everyone picking up a child, must have a security tag. If you do not have the tag, you will need to show your driver's license.

How will you contact me if you need me?

We will text you on the cell phone number provided when you registered. We suggest that you leave your phone on vibrate.

When can we play at the Treehouse?

The Treehouse is open for family play time before & after each service on Sunday; Tuesday & Thursday from 9-11 & 1-3; and Wednesday's 5:30-6:15pm

When will my child be promoted to their next age/grade class?

We normally promote as the children end their school year (end of May/first of June).  You will receive an e-mail and the promotion date will be well communicated.  Children will attend VBS and church camp as the class they will enter in the fall.

Is there a place to nurse my baby?

Yes, there is a designated nursing area in the baby nursery, room 101 in the Children's Center.  If you are in the sanctuary, feel free to utilize the first aide room if you would rather not walk to the Children's Center.

How can I serve in the Children's Center?

All regular attenders are encouraged to serve in a ministry!  Volunteers that serve in the Children's Center will complete a background check and orientation before serving with the children.  Parent volunteers are always welcome!

How do I know when my child is ready to be baptized?

If your child is talking to you about baptism we do have a resource available that is extremely helpful as they journey through all that the bible says about baptism.  We encourage children to make this decision independently but with support and encouragement from their parents.  Please contact treehouse@plainfieldchristian.com if you would like a baptism booklet.  Our children's staff would love to meet with you and your child to help with the discussion and to make necessary preparations for their baptism.
