Modern Worship Band
The modern worship band explores newer forms of instrumentation and musical improvisation to praise and thank God. This band leads our "modern" services in the Fellowship Center. It is a guitar-based rock group which has a high commitment level, with both weekly rehearsals and outside practice time. Offers both vocal and band positions.
Youth Worship Band
The youth worship band leads Sunday night Impact for our high school student ministry. This band rehearses on Sunday afternoons at 4pm, and also has outside practice times.
Orchestra
This group seeks to honor the Lord using a variety of
musical styles and instruments, playing for Sanctuary worship
approximately one Sunday each month as well as seasonal concerts and
programs. Although there is no formal audition for this group, we ask
that you be able to read music and that you be in High School or older.
A meeting with the orchestra director or worship minister may be required in some cases.
The rehearsal schedule varies, but is normally at 11:30 on Sunday
mornings.
Adult Choir
This group glorifies God using a variety of styles of
vocal music and sings in the Sanctuary worship services approximately
two times a month and prepares special seasonal programs as well. There
is no audition to take part in this choir and rehearsals are each Wednesday
night at 6:30 in room 222.
Teen Voice
This group of singers is made up of young people in
grades 6-12 performing worship songs alternately in both worship venues
as well as seasonal programs. There is no audition and rehearsals are
Sundays at 5:00pm at Pier 14 on a periodic basis, depending upon the
youth calendar.
Kingdom Singers
This group of young musicians is made of kids in grades
1-5. At present this group rehearses on Wednesday nights from 6:10 to 6:45 in
room 257 from Sept. through Dec. singing once or twice in the fall and
again for the Christmas program.
Band of Angels
This group of children in Pre-K and Kindergarten
rehearses at 6:30pm on Wednesday nights on the second floor of the West
Wing. The primary purpose is for these little ones to learn some music
fundamentals as they Praise our great God. They usually sing for adult
worship once in the Winter and once in the Spring.
Praise Ringers
This dedicated group of hand bell ringers rehearses most
Wednesday nights at 7:30 in the small room off of room 222. There is no
audition but reading music is a requirement. They play for the sanctuary
worship services once a month and also play in the community periodically.
Drama Team
Although this group of actors does not meet on a weekly
basis, there is usually some project in the works. If you have drama
interest or experience, you are added to the team and notified when
auditions for special programs, concerts and services arise.
