Events & Service Opportunities

Let’s Love our Guests!

We know it’s hard in a big church to know if someone is a new guest or just in a new seat each Sunday. That’s why we are rolling out a new team for making our guests feel like they belong! From welcoming them in the parking lot, to helping families find seats in our worship venues, we want YOU to be the friendly face that welcomes our new guests. Ready to use your gifts? Contact Kait at kmangano@plainfieldchristian.comor check out our serve page to be a part of loving our new guests.

Baptism Sunday October 22

We love celebrating people who are ready to take a next step with Jesus! Join us on Sunday, October 22 at 12:15 pm in the Sanctuary as we celebrate those ready to make their commitment to following Jesus. If you are making that commitment, then let us know and we’ll be in contact with you before your big day.

The Treasure Principle Church-Wide Study

Starting October 29 we will begin a sermon series to explore the joy of giving. As a part of this, we will be distributing the book, The Treasure Principle, on October 22 and 29. You can pick up your copy (one per household) at the Welcome Centers or in The Hub. Those involved in a Life Group will receive their copies through their group leader.

Please Note

Beginning October 22, a summary of PCC’s 2018 budget will be made available in The Hub for three straight Sundays. Leaders will be available each of these days to answer any questions you may have regarding the 2018 budget. We want to be fully transparent and enable you to see where the church stands financially, so stop by The Hub and check it out.

Our Church & Active Grace

Earlier this summer, we had the opportunity to celebrate all that God has done through the ministry of Active Grace. A lot has developed since the summer and we want to help better tell the story of Active Grace. You can read more about their transition, their direction, and common questions asked about PCC's relationship with Active Grace.

Partner with Sheltering Wings for Domestic Violence Awareness Month

October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month and Sheltering Wings is organizing several special events and initiatives that will take place in the community during the month. For all of the ways you can get involved next month, go to Sheltering Wing’s website and explore their events.

Ready to use your gifts?

As we heard on Sunday, it’s time to get our gifts off the shelf. We are all good at different things, but the whole body of the church only works when we use our gifts together. Are you interested in finding out what your spiritual gifts are? Take the assessment to help discover your gifts.

Global Impact Trips

PCC has an incredible opportunity to partner and walk alongside missionaries across the world who are investing their lives to tell people about Jesus. Our Global Impact ministry’s focus is to pray, give, and go. There are several opportunities to go. You can go by walking alongside organizations within our community, but you can also go and serve unreached people groups. Our Global Impact trips provide an opportunity to be sent out into the world to show and share the love of Christ!

This is an area to describe the details of the event. Or you could have any information in here really, it just doesn't matter all that much. But the real test of an area like this is how much text it can actually hold. I mean, surely there must be limits. Right? Well if there are we sould probably display a Link Style.
